Description

We are looking for a candidate with IT Help Desk experience, who is keen on different Hardware and IT technologies.

The IT Help Desk will act as a technical authority among the Engineering department and will serve the entire company by giving technical support for all system-related issues. 

Responsibilities

  • Configuring new computing environments including customized network 
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues
  • Maintaining an inventory of IT assets, setting up new users, and assorted other IT-related tasks.
  • Troubleshooting of Servers, Storage and Network Hardware, Software, and Configuration of all component
  • Support IT-related incidents \ requests of users and support existing systems and services.
  • Stay user-focused and quickly respond to technical requests either by phone, mail, or in-person while documenting in the helpdesk ticketing system.
  • Identify and escalate situations that require urgent attention.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware \ software issues in a mixed Windows \ Mac environment.
  • Follow up with customers, provide feedback and see problems through to resolution.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

Desired Qualifications:

  • Good knowledge of computer hardware components and their standards
  • Good knowledge of computer networks, base communication equipment, and TCP/IP
  • Experience in administration of Windows, OSX and Linux operating systems (Permissions, Servers and Roles).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 \ Google Apps.
  • Ability to troubleshoot different aspects of HW/OS related issues
  • Proficiency in English - a must.

Nice To Have Skills

  • Experience with automating configuration and deployment of On-Premises Lab Hardware.
  • Experience with managing VMware or RHEV/oVirt Virtualization Infrastructure
  • 2 years of hands-on experience in supporting 200+ users in multiple office locations.

Additional skills required may include:

  • Ability to quickly learn about new products and technologies
  • Existing experience in system/network administration and hardware assembling would be an added advantage
  • Ability to do low level debug of BIOS/bootloaders and other firmware
  • Customer service-oriented, Strong communication skills and ability to thrive under pressure.
