For years, market data have been trapped in slow, archaic storage architectures. As AI creeps into research environments, organizations are quickly realize that HDDs and storage tiering aren’t just slowing them down, but these legacy concepts are putting the brakes on the race to alpha – full stop. All-flash data centers have become the holy grail in this chase to modernize infrastructure and prepare for the next 10 years of AI-infused systematic trading. The barrier to this goal is simple: high costs.
VAST Data jumped into the market in 2019 with a new universal storage concept, that breaks down the barriers to all-flash adoption by combining a new type of low-cost Flash with advanced algorithms that bring the total efficiency to a point where systems are now selling for as low as $100/TB…less than even HDD archive storage. VAST’s Universal Storage technology is a next-generation file and object storage system that provides parallel file system performance from a platform that features enterprise-NAS simplicity. VAST Data infrastructure now powers many of the world’s largest systematic trading research grids and is an extinction-level event for the HDD.
The dream of an all-flash data center is now a reality. Join this webinar hosted by AHEAD and VAST Data to understand how storage can be weaponized to gain competitive advantage in today’s turbulent and data-rich markets.
