Last month at VAST Forward, our first global user conference, the energy in the room across customers, partners, developers, and AI leaders underscored a fundamental shift in the conversation around AI infrastructure.
Organizations are no longer experimenting with AI at the edges. They are building production systems that must scale, perform, and operate reliably across entire enterprises.
Now, as the industry gathers at NVIDIA GTC, the themes we explored at Forward will continue across the broader AI community. Enterprises now place unprecedented demand on data infrastructure and how data is stored, processed, governed, and delivered to GPUs at scale.
One of the most exciting VAST FWD announcements was the C-Node X, a new class of accelerated infrastructure built on the NVIDIA AI Data Platform reference design that delivers a fully accelerated AI data stack with dramatically faster data preparation, transformation, and pipeline operations to remove the bottlenecks that traditionally slow AI development.
We also introduced PolicyEngine and TuningEngine, two intelligent capabilities that signify a major advance toward self-managing infrastructure. These tools are designed to enable enterprises to operate AI systems more securely and efficiently, allowing infrastructure to dynamically adapt to the demanding requirements of large-scale AI environments.
The key takeaway for enterprise AI is that the control and orchestration of data is just as critical as the storage location itself.
Continuing the Conversation at GTC
Throughout the week at NVIDIA GTC, the VAST team will participate in a number of speaking sessions, technical discussions, and partner collaborations focused on the future of AI data infrastructure.
One technical focus in particular is overcoming the ‘memory wall’ for long‑context, agentic AI, which arises when GPU memory limits hinder scalable inference. In our session [S82255] on Thursday, we’ll build on the principles we detailed in our blog on NVIDIA Dynamo and VAST’s scalable, optimized inference layer, showing how Dynamo’s multi‑tiered KV Block Manager combines with the VAST AIOS to intelligently manage context memory, eliminate bottlenecks, and deliver dramatically higher throughput and GPU utilization for large‑scale deployments.
